This retainer agreement will be reviewed after the initial 3-month period to ensure it remains aligned with Chiltern Distribution’s vision. Our goal is to identify trends, uncover any knowledge gaps, and adjust the service accordingly. We are committed to building internal capability by gradually reducing external input and supporting the upskilling of the senior leadership team to independently manage core HR practices over time.

The team holds a range of professional qualifications, including CIPD Levels 7, 5, and 3, with one member being a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD. Our combined expertise spans recruitment, employee relations, policy development, performance management, and compliance, as well as delivering HR audits, documentation, and system support.
In addition to core HR competencies, the team includes specialists in Coaching, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Personality Profiling, and Mental Health First Aid Instruction. Pricing
£1,500 net per month
The price for this service:
1. Strategic HR Consultancy
• 24 Hours of HR Consultancy Annually (Delivered as 2 hours per month)
Flexible consultancy time for expert advice and support, delivered in-person or remotely as required.
• Biannual In-Person Planning Meetings
Two on-site strategic meetings per year (2 hours each) to align HR objectives with business needs and review key priorities.
• Annual Compliance Review
Full legal review of employment documents and policies to ensure continued compliance with evolving legislation.
2. Project Support
• 18 Hours Annually for Project Work
(1.5 hours per month)
Project support may include:
- People Plan implementation
- BRC accreditation assistance
- Employee engagement surveys
- Salary benchmarking
- New policy development
- Senior staff inductions
3. Operational HR Administration
• 5 Hours HR Admin Support Monthly
Up to 50% of this time can be delivered onsite to support and upskill senior internal staff.
• Employee File Audit (Onsite)
Annual audit of employee files to ensure records are complete, secure, and compliant.
• Quarterly Employment Law Updates
Email briefings provided every quarter (with flexibility for interim updates when legislation changes).
• Breathe HR Management
Support and oversight of your Breathe HR system is included within the admin hours.
4. Added Value Benefits
• Online Training Bonus - Buy one online course and receive a second free during the retainer period.
• Preferential Rates for Additional Services
- Additional HR Admin: £50 net /hour
- Additional HR Consultancy: £100 net /hour
5. Exclusions (Outside the Retainer)
• Breathe HR Subscription platform usage is billed separately.
• Bespoke Training
Custom in-house or virtual training sessions are priced individually and not included in the core package.
